Here’s the rundown on how to start a fundraiser, and what to do once you sign up.
SIGN UP – Fill out the form on the [SIGN UP] page, and fax or mail in a completed fundraiser agreement contract. We will contact you to verify your information, and ship you a fundraising kit with catalogs, order forms, and closeout documents.
ONLINE SALES REGISTRATION – After receiving your fundraising kit, you may immediately begin selling from the included brochure catalog. However, to sell products online, students must first register for an online sales account. Please see [ONLINE FUNDRAISING] for details.
TIME TO SELL! – There are a variety of ways to organize, motivate, and diversify your sales force; many decisions are yours to make.
Our program offers the ability to sell products from our brochure catalog AND from our online store. More information and tips about utilizing our online sales system can be found at [ONLINE FUNDRAISING]. Also, see [FUNDRAISING TIPS] for info on how to run a better fundraiser.
Collect/manage money - Your organization gets 40% of total sales from both online and paper-catalog sales (excluding applicable tax). Collecting and receiving payments is as follows:
Brochure sales: Make sure all money is collected and accounted for when your fundraiser ends. Included in your fundraising kit will be a pre-addressed envelope to Hal Leonard. In this envelope goes your check for 60% of the money from paper-catalog sales (including any applicable tax), along with all brochure orders.

Online sales: Once Hal Leonard receives your organization’s check and order forms from brochure orders, they process any remaining online orders, and collect the remaining online payments. They will then send your organization a check for 40% of total online sales (excluding shipping charges and applicable taxes for each sale).
