What about sales tax?

As the fundraising administrator, you are responsible for knowing your state tax laws on fundraising. Many schools are tax exempt for their fundraising programs, however some state may require that tax be collected. If this is the case, you are responsible for adding tax to the price of our products for brochure orders only. For online orders, our website will automatically figure tax into the price if it is required by the purchaser’s state.

Who do I make the final check for 60% of paper-catalog sales out to?

Make your check payable to: Hal Leonard Corporation

Shipping Details:

For handwritten paper-catalog orders: Orders are packaged per student at Hal Leonard, and then shipped as one bulk shipment to your school at no shipping charge.

For online orders: Orders are delivered directly to customers’ home via UPS, USPS etc. Customers pay for shipping.

How long will it take for orders to be received?

For paper-catalog orders: products typically arrive in 2 – 3 weeks. Magazines typically take 10 – 12 weeks to arrive to the customer. Quarterly publications can take longer.

For online orders: Customers receive direct-home shipping from Hal Leonard Corporation. Items ship between 2-5 business days.

How long will it take for our music organization to receive payment for online sales?

Please allow 30 days for your payment to be received.

If we miscalculate our commission from paper-catalog sales, how do we resolve this issue after sending our check?

If your group over/under pays for your commission from paper-catalog sales, Hal Leonard will compensate for the mistake in the payment you receive from them for online sales. If your group doesn’t sell anything online, Hal Leonard will contact you to resolve the issue.
